Jen's passion for real estate safety ignited after experiencing the loss of a dear friend, Ashley Okland, who was killed while holding an open house on April 8, 2011 in West Des Moines, Iowa. Years after this tragedy, Jen has tried to develop a purpose in the absence of explanation. This has fueled her desire to bring awareness to real estate safety and to encourage the safety conversation to be one which is repeated and remembered.

Carl Carter, Jr., is a REALTOR® and the Founder of the Beverly Carter Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving agent safety. His mom, REALTOR® Beverly Carter, lost her life at the hands of a couple posing as clients in 2014. Since his mother's passing, Carl has dedicated as much time as possible to spreading the message of safety. He serves as a Delegate to the National Safety Council, where he advocates for the safety of lone workers. He has a Master and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees from the University of AR in Little Rock, AR, and an Executive Masters in Public Service from the Clinton School of Public Service.

As a Real Estate Instructor, he combines his years of law enforcement with real estate as he teaches Agent Safety classes across the country. He is the 2019 NYS Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) Secretary/Treasurer and was the 2017 Long Island Board of REALTORS® President. He has been an NAR Director since 2013 and a NYSAR Director since 2012. Dave is also on the Board of Directors of the Beverly Carter Foundation.
